Taylor Swift assured viewers that “jet lag is real” while making her way up the red carpet and into the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night. She should know. A few short days ago, she was in Europe.
“I don’t know what time zone I’m in, but it’s all good,” a bubbly Swift told carpet host Storme Warren.
While on tour overseas, Swift said, she learned that, “No matter where you live, Nashville or Norway, we all experience love and relationships the same way. Looking out in the crowd and seeing (fans) mouth the words back in perfect English was very gratifying.”
Swift also celebrated a big accomplishment as her time in Europe came to a close: reaching the 20 million mark in worldwide album sales.
In May, Swift plans to re-launch her tour in the United States playing more than 70 shows around the country through November. She’ll be at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Sept. 16 and 17.
